Familiarity or novelty?

Do you prefer to stick with what you know, or are you always looking for new software, search engines, databases, gadgets...? An article in the New York Times looks at the millions of users who hold onto familiar technologies rather than joining the race to get the latest upgrades, newest gadgets, whizziest interfaces.

The industry earns its money from consumers who are always chasing novelty, but perhaps it needs to look at those who prefer the familiar, and try to provide products for them.
