I've just been Instant Chatting with a student on the painfully slow Moodle chat function, and I've come to the conclusion that there are all sorts of web tools out there that I know nothing about. She introduced me to Tumblr as a far more creative alternative to Twitter, which I've just started using.
This led me to wonder which other web tools have passed me by completely! I use Gmail - and a load of other Google applications like Picasa for my photos (you can keep them private or share them as you wish). I also use Facebook and I have set up a blog on Wordpress to offer support to some distance learning students.
So over to you. Which are your favourite web tools and which do you avoid?
