Amazon Kindle and ebooks

Have you come across the Amazon Kindle? It's apparently not easily available in the UK yet, but Alan Rusbridger of the Guardian has fallen for its charms and considers that "the black-and-white screen is as close to reading print on paper as anything I've yet come across". And it can hold up to 160 full length books at any one time, which would simplify my holiday packing considerably!!

What do you think about ebooks in general? We are starting to provide them from the Learning Centres - among other benefits they enable you to access the book you want from home, and often allow several people to use one book at the same time. But there still seems to be some resistance... I'd be interested to know your opinions!
